Container (multimodal) transportation

Sea container transportations as part of multimodal transportation of cargo have certain advantages: - Maritime transport can accommodate a sufficiently large number of containers, which significantly reduces fuel costs and a number of other costs when carrying cargo by sea; - Possibility to carry out temporary storage of cargo directly in a container without additional rent of storage facilities; - increased indicators of cargo safety during transportation and temporary storage at the transshipment points and consolidation warehouses; - special means of securing containers on the sea deck. Container transportation allows to provide large volumes of cargo turnover, to transport cargo for long distances.
